Spanish Storytime

Join Ms. Tiffany and her special guest, Alba Hughes, for a very special Spanish Storytime. Hear stories, songs, and rhymes in both Spanish and English. And, learn more about the Library's Spanish Language Collection and Resources.

Cultural Programs
Additional cultural programs are scheduled for the fall, including:

Family Madrigal Movie Night - 5:30-7:30pm on 9/21 at the Library. Families are invited to a magical movie night featuring the Family Madrigal, complete with enchantment and songs. Refreshments will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own as well.

Alebrijes Workshop - 1pm on 10/2 at the Library. The Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Pittsburgh in collaboration with the Butler Area Public Library and Mexico Lindo, present a painting workshop on Alebrijes (whimsical carvings painted with intense colors and intricate patterns). Apasionado Dance presents Tales from the Dance Floor: The Hidden History of Western Hemisphere Partner Dances - 7-8pm on 10/19 at the Butler Little Theatre. This event features a talk on the history & culture of select Latin American dances. Includes some dance demos and brief performance.

Noches de Juego / Game Nights
Hola! Join us for Game Nights from 6-7:30pm on September 28, October 26 and November 30. These events are designed for Spanish and English speakers and all ages are welcome.

Folktales & Storytellers
Hispanic & Latin American Folktales and Spooky Stories - 6pm on 10/12. This program is intended for an audience age 13 and over. Presented by Misty Mator & Carolina Genet, with Spanish Translation by Carolina Genet.

Hispanic & Latin American Folktales for Children - 2pm on 10/21 at the Library. Local storyteller Misty Mator will share folktales from various Spanish speaking countries. This will appeal most to families with children of preschool to early elementary school ages.
