Library Offering Contactless Services ONLY in November

Library Statement, updated November 6th:

Out of an abundance of caution due to rising cases in our area, and keeping community health and safety a top priority, starting Monday, November 9, the Butler Area Public Library will be offering ONLY "No Contact" services for the remainder of November. This includes scheduled curbside book pickups, grab and go activities, virtual programs, and reference questions and genealogy research via email or telephone.


Staff will be available via phone and email Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 10 am-4 pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am-6 pm, and Saturdays 9 am-12 pm.


Building access, including computer use and in-person genealogy research, will not be available at this time.


The book drop will continue to be open, and materials will continue to be quarantined.

Here's what you need to know:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday : 10AM-4PM
Tuesday and Thursday : 10AM-6PM
Saturday: 9AM-12PM
Sundays: Closed


Our book drops are open 24/7 for you to return your checked out library items.
Returned items will be quarantined for 3 days before getting checked in.
Fines will not accrue during the quarantine period. 


Place items on hold and pick them up when you're notified that they are ready.
Front Door pickup is available (limited contact):
Grab and Go pickup is available by appointment. When the library staff calls to notify you that your items are ready for pickup, they will then schedule a day and time for you to pickup your items at the front door.

Wait until you are notified by phone call that your items are ready for pick up.

Wearing face coverings while inside the library.

Following cleaning and disinfecting protocols put out by the CDC.

Library staff continues to monitor local, state, and federal recommendations regarding the response to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. 


Like many businesses and government agencies, our plan to resume regular services will happen in stages, with the safety of our patrons and staff as a priority.
