We got off to a great start with the first session of the 2009 summer session of the Children's Creative Writing Workshop.  It was great to see all the new faces, as well as some familiar ones.  I'll try to keep this page updated as much as possible with updates concerning the workshop.

• Today's workshop focused on "mugshots."  Each child chose a different "mugshot" to devleop a story around.  Mugshots included Superhero Bear, Gadget Girl, Mysterious Man with a Beard, Giant, and Girl with a Watch.  We used a fact sheet to show how to develop depth to a character that is being used in a story.
